Children and their childhood

Child labor is a big social issue in our country. Child labor is the work done by the children in any field. Childhood is the happiest period of the life for everyone during which one learns about the basic strategy of the life from parents. Person enjoys the most in their childhood only. Child labor affects their development, physically, mentally and intellectually. This period of children is to grow and develop their skills. Let them grow. Childhood is the best age to live every moment, after that they will know too much. So this period should not be ruined. Children under the age of 14 years should not be employed in any field. They are not even developed completely and people pressurize than to do any sort of work. Children are a gift of god, so let them enjoy their childhood to the fullest. Those who employ children for any field of work should give a fine of high amount and should be imprisoned. Child labor is banned still people do not stop employing children for their work. Whether it’s a boy or a girl no one should work before the age of 14 years. Especially girl child should be prevented from doing labor at this age. Its their growing age. Girls go through a lot of changes mentally and physically during this time. At growing age girls should be taught their safety and hygiene. Girls undergo so many processes, mensuration cycle is the biggest happening for girls and they should be made aware of this at the early stage only. They should be taught safety and how they can prevent themselves from their exploitation. Girls are very important to our society. Because of girls only this world is born. Still female foeticide so common in our society. People want boys rather than girls because of they think that boys will help them in their old age and will take care of their property but this is not true. Nowadays even girls do that. Our society needs to understand that both boys and girls are equal and as well as girls are stronger than boys emotionally and mentally. Both should be treated equally. The most important factor for growth of the children is education. Free education is given to children up to 14 years of age. Children should be sent to school because of education only they can remove poverty and child labor. By going to school children learn so many things such as moral values, get to know about the world and learn how to live and interact with society. Mid-day meals are also given to children and this step should increase so that they don’t starve for food and work for other people to fulfill his/her needs. So children should be taken care of with love and compassion but not by forcing them to work.
